Uh... most people just got cornered by Shadows during the Dark Hour? You can't stay active during it if you don't have the potential to awaken your Persona, so the fear brought them out.
I awakened Orpheus with an Evoker about a year ago... and Thanatos was shoved into me when I was six.
Uh... Okay, that's different. So, when I got my Persona, it was because I was confronted by my Shadow in the TV World. I had to accept it, literally face myself. Once I did that, my Shadow merged with me and it became my Persona. The tarot card came out then too.
[He gave her a small smile. He didn't really like talking about his Shadow anyway. It had been tough to face it with Souji and Teddie watching, let alone talking about something so personal to a stranger.]
I-Yeah, that'd be nice, Minako-san. I'll pay you back whenever I get some chroma of my own.
This one's on me! Don't worry about it. Let's see, Souji-san showed me a place that should be... [ and she points, starting to walk. ] Couple blocks! Not far.
[He looks pretty devastated even though he doesn't know this girl real well. But it brings back memories of Saki-senpai and their own fight with Izanami, the fight for their lives. Minako fought a Goddess too but had to seal her away? With her very life?]
Because I was the only one who could. And it was me or every living thing on Earth. It's only natural, right?
[ she turns to look at him. she's smiling, warm as she's been the whole time, but those red eyes are ice cold. maybe they have been from the beginning. ]
I wouldn't change a thing, Yosuke-kun. We fought for everyone's souls, and we won.
[He didn't know the stakes or that there was no other option. Now that he knows even a bit of it, he gets it.
But it's still tough to hear. But he'd be a hypocrite if he said he wouldn't do the same thing.]
I'm not... I wasn't saying you shouldn't. I did something similar, in fact. I don't even know how I made it out after. [He was lucky, in comparison. But he'd do it again, same as her, if it meant Souji stayed alive to do what he needed to do.] I guess I'm just... Honestly I don't know what I think. Sorry.
Oh, you're fine! [ said as airily as if he'd just apologized for bumping into her, or something. minako forces her grin to widen a little. ] I guess I don't either. I just know I don't regret it.
Now, let's see... yeah, here we go. [ and she pushes open the door to the cafe. ]
Probably not! I kinda like it, though. It's super stylish. [ she approaches the counter and orders, opening the chroma app. what are you gettin, yosuke. ]

[He's not quite understand why she wants to know the specific place it comes from. It allows him to summon his persona so...]
I dunno, inside of me?

[Thinking now too.]
How did you get your Persona?

[ man, she doesn't wanna think about how her shadow would act ]
Buy you a coffee, Yosuke-kun? I've got a little chroma, and it feels weird just talking about all this out here.

So, what year are you in at Yasogami?
no subject
Just about to start my third year! Or, well, I was but [Gestures around then as he follows her.] eventually, I will I guess.

[ it's entirely too perky, the way she says it, and she doesn't even miss a beat on her walking. ]

So he follows her in, taking the door to push open a little wider and walking in after her.]
Y'know, I wonder if they'd ever heard of toned down colors...
[He tried.]
