That's...a little strange. After the first time I summoned my Persona, I could do it without any help. But, maybe it's just the difference between the Metaverse and...the Dark Hour?
...That. Wouldn't happen to be at midnight, would it?
...That. Wouldn't happen to be at midnight, would it?
...You're the first other person I've met who knows about it. I didn't even know it had a name.
I forgot about it for seven years. I didn't remember until I summoned my Persona for the first time, while I was thinking about...my motivation.
There's a good coffeeshop not far from here. Or there's always my apartment?
[His head tilts, curiously.]
I think your senpai came from later in 2012 than I did. And there are other Persona-users here from... I think it was 2016?
I'd definitely like to talk about it more.

Ah...I'm sorry, I didn't mean to question about painful memories.
I...do remember seeing monsters around when it was happening in Tokyo, but they didn't look anything like the Shadows I've seen in the Metaverse. Well...except for wearing masks and having black bodies. But the most formless Shadows I've ever seen still had more shape than those.

[ As with most things in Shinjiro's life, this situation is a hot fucking mess.
Had other snarls been smoothed over, certain puzzle pieces clicked into place, maybe he would have picked up quicker on the naked truth held before him out on a silver platter. But he barely knows this girl, and had banished what little information Mitsuru had shared with him all those years ago deep down.
Even so.
It's impossible to miss the tension that radiates through the stiff lines of her shoulders, and the glint in her eyes that looks suspiciously like tears. She's hurt; he's seen that look enough times on others - on Aki - that he recognizes it now. Way to go, asshole.
He sighs. Runs a hand through his hair as he tries to salvage things. ]
Look—sorry. It's... [ He breaks off, grimacing. ] There's been a lot.
[ Find out you're dead (though technically he saw that one coming), find out the world's about to end, find out one of your classmates and comrades sacrifices herself so the world doesn't actually end. Just another Tuesday. ]
So....Ikutsuki's a rat bastard, huh? Knew we shouldn't have trusted a guy with such shitty jokes.
[ It's pretty pathetic by way of olive branches, but it's all he's got at the moment. ]

This way.
[He nods, gestures, and heads out. It's only about a block and a half away, and on their way, he'll point out a few other shops, and the rise of the apartment buildings, only a little further away.]
It's a pretty nice neighborhood... at least, most of the time.

It depends on the environment. Ones in areas controlled by an individual's Shadow take on appearances that match the setting, frequently as appropriate security personnel - though, I've also seen them take the shape of secretaries, waitresses, and other staff not normally associated with security. In Mementos, where there's no form of authority, they simply appear as vague humanoid shapes.
I've never seen any tanks, but I have fought my share of floating stars and blobs of ooze. Though, I think the strangest was the disembodied...body part in a chariot.
[Why does Mara exist.]
