[ gumblemumble fine, busted. minako has always been able to read her like a book. ]

A-anyway! It seems like we're both okay with seeing other people, too. Would that only be okay during the moons since that's hard to control or are we just kinda always...open? That's what it's called, right?

[ she seems to consider that for a moment. ]

I think always? Would be easier? It'd probably mostly be the moons, anyway...

Let's just be honest with each other about it, okay?

Yeah. As long as it's not a surprise, I don't mind, but if...well. [ she pauses, more than a little mortified of what she's about to ask. ] If it's Iris and it's bad, I mean really bad then....

[ she giggles softly at that, pressing her face into yukari's neck. ]

Y'know, I think I can work with that.

[ she tilts her head to the side on instinct and begins to play with minako's hair. ]

Thought you might.

Those are the only two things I'd like to happen if we're going to be be open. Any more rules you wanna add?

[ ring ring minako ]

Hey! What's up, Yukari?

Hey! It's nothing big, but would it be okay if I came by? I wanted to see you. ...and talk about something, if you had the time.

Always! I'll have some food ready. Still have that key?

Sure do. I'm already out in the city so it shouldn't be too long. Do you want me to pick something up on the way?

You can if you want, but you don't have to! I've got the right leftovers for katsu curry, if that sounds good? [ of course it's ren's curry. she keeps trying to figure out the recipe but to no avail. but hey, it's her katsu. ]

Uh, yeah, that sounds great. Knew I liked you for a reason. [ can she ever turn off the sarcasm? no, otherwise she will die. ] Be there in a little bit.

[ and about 20 minutes later, a key turns in the lock and yukari walks in, pausing to close the door behind her and pull off her shoes. ] Minako, I'm here! I brought drinks!

Come in!

[ the sound of koromaru's little shibe feet and minako singing along to a song pattering comes from the kitchen along with the smell of spices and fresh food. once yukari steps in further, minako's bopping and jiving along to the brass line, finishing up plating sliced chicken katsu over curry rice, spreading a streak of sauce along the center of the cutlets. ]

Ja-jaan! [ she backs up, grinning at yukari, gesturing with both hands at the plates and wiggling her fingers. ] Just in time!

[ yukari leans against the door frame with a grocery bag in hand, watching minako groove while koromaru runs small circles around her, unable to stop the endeared smile that spreads across her face. she's held on to these slices of domesticity even more since since christmas--sorry, firialia. romantic getaways will make you feel mushy, who knew? ]

Seems so! [ she strolls into the kitchen to scratch koromaru between the ears, kissing minako on the cheek once she's done lavishing attention on her favorite good boy. ] This smells amazing. As for the presentation, hm.... [ she rubs her chin in an affected show of intense thought. ] Nine out of ten, but I'm sure there's a few ways to bump that score....

and she doesn't have it in her to play it off with a joke or some cheer. not today, not with everything going on. she knows she should probably thank her or acknowledge the gesture, too, but... ]

[ yukari knows the response is warranted, but it doesn't make it hurt any less. she's the one who left minako alone, after all.

she takes 10 minutes to process, dots bouncing at regular intervals until: ]

[ the first part comes almost like a kneejerk response, nearly instantly ]

[ the dots keep bouncing though. minako takes a breath, sending a few more texts in succession. ]

[ there isn't any response for over an hour. the messages are marked as read, but there's no response, no bouncing dots, nothing. yukari is just...gone, which isn't like her at all.

the messages are slow to start, at first, before coming one after another. ]

i know youre tired of people doing that to you. saying how you should feel.
and i shouldnt have done that to you either. im sorry.

but im pretty sure i flirted with you first. and kissed you
we both made this mess we're in. and im pretty sure we both knew something like this was going to be happen eventually. plus i know me and aigis are separate things. honest
